Finally my C-Bus units have arrived after being stuck in customs for over 3 weeks

I have done all my programing in Toolkit (Version 1.11.9) but now I am stuck trying to upload the program to the units.

I have about 60 light circuits to control and I am using a 5500PCU interface, 5 12 channel relays, 10 Saturn DLT switches and 6 Saturn 4 button switches.

On the paperwork that came with the 5500PCU it says that I need to install a USB PCI driver that is supposed to be available from the CIS downloads section of the website. I cant see anything there that looks like a PCI driver. There is no option in Toolkit to install the driver

Last night when I plugged the 5500PCU in to the laptop a window came up "Installing Driver" and then after a while "Driver sucesfully installed"

When I opened the Toolkit and click scan network I get an error message "PCI failed to reset. Unable to open the Network"

    I am using COM29(USB) - C Bus Wired PC Interface (5500PCU)

I guess I am not doing the right things but I dont know where to go from here.

I have only got 3 days left at home before I leave for another 28 day work stint and I would like to get at least our bedroom lighting functional on C Bus.

What do I need to do?

It's not clear how much you've set up yet, so starting from the basics..

Is your network all connected and powered?
Is the PCI connected to the network?
Are both indicators on the PCI on?
Are the "Unit" and "C-Bus" indicators on the relay units on?

To get your network up and running and eliminate some of the basics, you can try learn mode..
    - press and hold one of the channel buttons on a relay unit for >10s to enter learn mode.. this also sorts out any basic communication issues
    - the Unit and C-Bus leds should flash for a while and then start flashing alternately (if they don't do this then something is wrong with the network)
    - press any other output channel buttons that you want associated with this channel, and keys on any key units that you want to control the channel
    - once you have done this, press and hold the same channel button that you used to enter learn mode with, for about a second. The Unit and C-Bus leds should stop flashing.

Assuming this all worked you should now have a working network and the buttons you pressed on your key units should control the output channels you selected.

You can repeat this for other channels and buttons.

Once you've got this far, you've probably eliminated 99% of the things that might have been preventing your PCI connecting to the network.

Ok this is what I have done so far

While I was waiting for the units to arrive I downloaded a copy of the C Bus Toolkit

I entered all the units I had ordered in to the C bus Toolkit and assigned the lighting circuits to the respective channels on the relays then to the required button on each of the light switches and did the same for all the scenes I require.

It all looked fine in the C Bus Toolkit and I was hoping that when the units arrived I could connect the PC interface, a relay with power supply then upload the setup to the respective relays and switches.

Right now I dont seem to be able to sort out the communication between the C Bus Toolkit on my laptop and the units

Ok I seem to have got it sorted

On the front page of the C Bus Toolkit I clicked "Find C-Bus Networks" it then discovered the 3 units I had connected. Once I associated these units with the network I had programmed in the C Bus Toolkit everything went fine and I was able to upload all the programming to the units. I have only got 8 Saturn DLTs to finish then I will have done all 23 of the units. When I did a super quick trial on the first 3 units I did everything seemed to work as intended. I now just have to install the switches, put the relays in the lighting coves and finish the wiring
