Unfortunately that file wasn't a dump file. You will need to configure Dr Watson (a program included with Windows) to make one.

Select Start|Run and enter "drwtsn32" (no quotes) and click OK, this will launch Dr Watson.

Configure the options to be the same as in the attached screen grab (but write down the original settings so you can restore them afterwards).

Not the path in the "Crash Dump" edit box. This is where the dump file will be placed. You can change this if you want, but every program that crashes will write this file so you might want to change it back after.

Important: Delete this dump file if it already exists, we want a clean dump file!!

Now run Piced and hopefully you will get a message about a Dr Watson dump file being created.

Check for the dump file, if it has been created, zip it up and post it. If it hasn't then we aren't likely to get one.

Now restore the Dr Watson settings to what they were originally.

Richo here is the dumb & log files you need, created by Dr Watson.

I had to make some changes on my own in order to get these files. I ran drwtsn32 -i in order to make Dr Watson my default debbuger and then make the changes in the options form. After that i run PICED application and here are the files.

Richo & Darren, it is possible to find a solution to this problem?

And the critical question is: Why this happened?

We aren't sure yet why this is happening. We can't make it occur here and we don't have any record of any other PICED users having the same problem. This makes it very difficult to know where to look.

There are are many hundreds of people using PICED successfully, so it looks like there is something unusual about your computer set-up. We suspect that it may be related to your regional settings.

    Can you tell me :
    1. Which language is your computer set to ?
    2. Which region (Country) is your computer set to ?
    3. Which time-zone are you in ?
    4. Is your copy of Windows XP SP3 a standard English copy, or some other variant ?
