    Hi,
I have just bought a C-Bus 6 gang switch from someone in Perth on Ebay, and the Toolkit says it has no serial number and must be returned to the place of purchase for repair.

Have I been ripped off, or is there a way to fix this?

I see that someone posted the same question here 10 years ago, and there was a hint that there may be a solution as they took the conversation offline.

    Cheers

    Rob

    Its a factory error.

Try contacting Clipsal technical support. Even if you are not the first purchaser, it was not made right so they should fix it or replace it (at no charge). It is supposed to have a 2 year warranty.

It is not possible for a customer to remove the serial number - so don't let anyone try and fob you off with an excuse like that.
