Just wondered if someone could clarify the following:

In the Units in Database display we see the GA's assigned to the Groups (1-12). If a unit (say a keypad) has a secondary application such as Trigger Control assigned to a group and we then select the Function as Trigger 1 and chose an Action Selector, the 'Group' description displayed in the Units in Database Display still comes from the Primary Application list of GA's (It doesn't show the name of the trigger group).

It would seem that rather than displaying the secondary application's GA description it still takes the description from the primary application's list of GA's but it is not clear how it choses the particular application industry GA description.

Sorry if this example isn't very clear....I guess the main question would be is there a reason why the secondary applications GA description isn't displayed in the Units in Database list when a secondary application is selected.

    Many thanks.

    Update:

It seems that the GA number of the secondary application is being used to look up the description in the primary application list of GA's. I have a Trigger Group of 035 and the description displayed matches the GA035 description from the Primary (lighting) group.

    Hi abg,

Thanks for reporting this. This has been noted and will be fixed in a later release.

    Thanks for the feedback Daniel.

Having developed software for many years it can be frustrating not to be able to fix some of these little things myself :)

    Regards

Secondary App GA created in Primary App

Just noticed that the display issue with the Secondary App GA has been fixed, but it appears it only shows the Sec App GA description in the 'Units on Network' display not 'Units in Database'.

Units in Database still shows the description from the Primary App with the same GA as the Secondary app.

Also if you assign a GA from a secondary app it creates that GA in the primary app. This means you end up with unwanted GA's in the primary app.

Just wondered what the status on this fix is?

It appears that the secondary app display problem is still present in the 'Units in Database' list and is back again in the 'Units in Network' list.

    Using Toolkit 1.10.6.
