    Hi Guys,

I have a doubt about universal remote( 5030URC )...For one of my projects i have to use this universal remote to control lighting..i wanna make lights on/off and dimming using this..i have programmed a neo switch ..and enabled the option for remotes ie infrared settings..the light fittings are halogen and fluoroscent..fluoroscent is dimmed using relay and analog output and halogen using dimmers.. from switch and other remotes like 5034TX12 ,5035TX i can dim both halogen and fluoroscent lights but using universal remote i can dim only the fluoroscent lights but halogen cant be dimmed..

Does anyone faced this problem before..?how can i dim the halogen light using the universal remote..?pls help...

If both types of lights can be dimmed using the 5034TX12 and the 5035TX IR remote controls then it is definitely not a C-Bus problem.

Given that the 5030URC duplicates the IR codes transmitted by those two IR Remote Controls you mention, I'd suggest that you re-test your set-up. The 5034TX12 IR codes are the same thing repeated over and over, whereas the 5035TX IR codes send a singe data frame with a repeated dummy frame after that.

The only thing I can think of is that you may have your fluorescent and halogen loads controlled from the two different styles of remote control, and the 5030URC implementation has a deficiency for one of those remote control types.

To test this, set up a single Neo to control one circuit of halogen and one circuit of fluorescent lighting. Set the Neo to C-Bus IR codes only. Test with the 5034TX12 to make sure everything is working fine. Then try from the 5030URC. Repeat the exercise with NEC codes only enabled in the Neo, using the 5038TX mode on the universal remote control.

It could also be the case that you have 2 Neo switches within IR range of each other, both controlling the same loads, and they are canceling each other out.

Let us know how you go.
