I second that. It's nice to be able to turn off zones. Something the designers of the physical thermostats forget :( . Perhaps if Clipsal started charging for the app they could afford to spend more time on it and improve on the turn around time.

I'd pay for it, if this happened. Also, if I could get my camera feeds into the app. They come up fine accessing the Wiser via my computer at home. But not in the iPhone app. The iPhone hardware capabilities isn't the problem either because I can view them OK using a third party app...(Live Cams)

The new 1.2 app doesn't seem to be reading the temp off my (non Tstat) temp sensors (can't remember what their called...they r plain white boxes about same shape as an iPhone. ) The app crashes when visiting the readout on these....

I too am having the problem with the app crashing when I try to access the thermostat.
I have tried it on 2 iphones and an ipad, but still the same problem. No, error, just closes the app.

    Any suggestions?

Otherwise, yes the new update looks great.

    I am seeing this too.

I have the climate widget and if it is in a room, you go to that room and the iApp crashes. It fails in both LAN and WAN modes, on an iPad and an iPhone. The project was updated from a previous version and the firmware was updated to 1.24. The iPad/iPhone versions are both 1.2.0.

Removed the widget from the room and put it in a function group, now it doesn't crash the app unless you go into the function group and then click on the widget.

    Needs a look at.

    All the best,

    Brad

I'm experiencing this problem as well. I've tried moving the widget to a function group but it still crashes the app. Does anyone have this working or is it just a few of us with the problem?

It crashes on the "Requesting project information" screen.

    Regards
    Pat.

Surely it can't be just me with this problem?

Can you provide me a little information about your set-up.

Do you have a C-bus Thermostat in addition to the Temperature sensor (For example using a temperature sensor to monitor temperature of 1 or more zones to a C-bus thermostat)

If not part of the thermostat then how is the temperature sensor Configured.

If you explain your setup then perhaps i have a chance in reproducing your issue.

    Cheers

    Hi Colin,

It's just a programable thermostat with on board relays configured to control a gas central heating unit only. There is a temperature sensor in the system but it has nothing to do with the hvac. It is only monitoring outdoor temperature.

When a hvac widgit is added to the wiser configuration, a web browser displays all as it should, including the hvac widgit, but the iphone app crashes at "getting project information"

    Cheers
    Pat.

I am currently doing some investigation into the issues with regards to this thread
    http://www.cbusforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7226

I suspect that the issue may be to do with the plant type as wiser only has support for reverse cycle plant type in hvac.

Can you please tell me the exact plant type you have selected in your tsat

i will add it my list of items to test against and post my results.

for those of you that have posted about having issues with thermostat crashing the iphone app.

    Can you please post

    The thermostat model
The Plant Mode that you are using
The Primary application being used for hvac control
    The number of fans speeds
The temperate format deg c or deg f

If the thermostat widget is in a location or function block when it crashes and if their are any other widgets on the same location or function.

    This would be helpful thanks.

    Hi Colin,

    Thanks for investigating this.

The Thermostat model is 5070THPRSS (Programmable, 5 on board relays)
Plant mode is "Furnace (Gas, Oil, Electric)"
Primary application is "HVAC Actuator 1"
Number of fan speeds is one.
    Units are degC

The location of the widgit is irrelevant. I've tried on its own, with other widgits, and both in Locations and Function Groups.

I was unaware that Wiser only supports reverse cycle. Is this documented anywhere? When will it support other types?

    Thanks
    Pat.

Wiser Limitation are documented in the PICED Help for HVAC
Look under "HVAC Zone Group Form" and refer to the bottom of this help page.

    Support for other heating

It's not just the iphone app. Yeh it crashes. But we have been requesting a decent Wiser widget and thermostat support for other types of heating like slab and hydronic for well over 12 months now.....

I wish CIS would just spend a bit of time designing decent Wiser support for other heating... Make this a priority.

Maybe the boys in Adelaide don't fully appreciate there are colder parts of Australia (and the world) than Adelaide... :) But more likely they are "resource stretched" (as they keep telling us).... :)
