    Hi Guys,

I have been called in to take over a half completed project by a very P'd Off customer who is actually living in the house and was using the relays and dimmers to turn GAs on and off.

They have been supplied a 5400/8 and told this unit can talk to CBUS, but as far as I can establish it is only the 5400/16CB that can talk with CBUS.

Has anyone got any ideas of how I can get the 5400/8 to communciate with CBUS. I don't really want to tell them they need to purchase a whole new alarm panel to replace.

    Regards

You MAY be able to use a dry contact input connected to a voltage free cbus relay, and it may also be possible (using an expansion output device??) to hook up to a bus coupler.

The 5400/8 won't integrate very well, so anything you do will have a certain amount of hack factor.
