Guys, I have just noticed since I upgraded to version 1.7.2 using the partial installer, all folders in the Start Menu -> All Programs -> Solutions -> Clipsal menu for MARPA, PICED, TICA, CIRCA, Calculator etc have disappeared. The software is still installed on my pc, so if I go to C:\Program Files\Clipsal I can still run the apps. Can someone please look into this for me, my menu now only displays Alfred 2006, Toolkit and CGATE and its a pain having to manually navigate to the apps via my hard drive. Thanks Heaps
Hi Jes, Can you please clarify a few things for me first? I'm having trouble reproducing this issue and this is the first time someone reports it. Do you always use the same user account on your PC? If you are using different accounts, it is possible that menus created under one account are not accessible under the other. Are you installing all Clipsal software in the default directory C:\Clipsal or you are selecting a different location (for example C:\Program Files\Clipsal) Do you have all Clipsal software installed in the same location or some applications are in C:\Clipsal and some are in other locations like C:\Program Files\Clipsal?
Hi George, Please see answers below: Yes I am always using the same user account on my laptop. I have been trying to install all software in C:\Program Files\Clipsal Here is my directory structure: C:\CLIPSAL\C-Bus Calculator C:\CLIPSAL\CBUSV2 C:\Program Files\Clipsal\C-Bus Calculator C:\Program Files\Clipsal\CBusToolkit C:\Program Files\Clipsal\C-Gate2 C:\Program Files\Clipsal\Circa C:\Program Files\Clipsal\Circa Infrared Reader C:\Program Files\Clipsal\PICED C:\Program Files\Clipsal\Tica C:\Program Files\Clipsal Integrated Systems\Matrix Switcher USB Driver C:\Program Files\Clipsal Integrated Systems\PC_CTB USB Driver C:\Program Files\Clipsal Integrated Systems\PCI USB Driver C:\Program Files\Clipsal Integrated Systems\WPCI USB Driver C:\Program Files\Clipsal UpDownload *** (16CB Software) *** Not very pretty ;-) Let me know if you need any further information.
Jes, sorry I don't have any answer to why this happened. I tried your scenario and someone else at CIS also tried installing Toolkit 1.7.2 after PICED and we didn't see anything unusual. I will keep an eye on what Toolkit installer does when creating menus, but for now can only suggest you recreate manually menu items that you lost. Regards, George
Yes, that was partial, which is not different from the Full one in how it creates menus as the same script is used underneath.
Its not Windows just hiding the Menu Entries because you dont use them very often is it? with the little double arrow showing so you can see "all items".. ?
