I notice that Cgate reports SyncUpdate events. What are these ? I can't find the definition in the documentation.

It is very obscure but you can find it in the topic: References > Command and Monitoring Interfaces > Event Interface > Event Tables > Command Events.

738 7 New level advice from sync "SyncUpdate: new level=" *DIGIT

Essentially C-Gate interrogates the network every hour or so, and while doing this it has detected a different level for a group so it has updated its own internal model.
