where to buy a wiser

Hi,

I want to buy a wiser for a client but I don't want to pay for a programed unit which I am more than capable of doing myself. I'm an AI. Is this not enough.

You don't have to buy a programmed unit... but you do have to buy from PointOne professional.

Does anyone know when the unit will be available in South Africa. I have an iPhone and am thinking of expanding my system. I am wondering if I should get a CNI or Wiser if it is available. I would prefer a Wiser, cause I would prefer to shy away from 3rd party vendor software.

I hope people selling Wisers are aware that they should be providing the end customers with support. I hope people buying Wiser are aware it is not self-supporting commodity equipment. Wiser is not trivial to setup correctly, especially for things like setting up external cameras, port forwarding in LAN mode and other functionality. Although Clipsal is working on making it simpler and more robust, there's good reasons why it was only sold through the PointOne program.

 

Still havent heard where I can buy a wiser in the USA, and how much they cost?

and punch in your zip code, your closest rep should be able to help you with ordering a Wiser.

Having a quick look at the listings for Idaho, showed the following two sales offices in your state:

Such as? There are a lot of people that are smart enough and experienced in other fields to be able to work out how to do these things and do them properly. Restricting sale only serves to limit the market.

 

Anyone in the US think it's worth ~$750 for one of these?

Call 888 SQUARED and they will give you the name of a local distributor that can get it for you. Should be in the $900-$1000 range.

 

I already have the quote for under $750...was interested in finding other's opinion if they bought a Wiser.
