    Hi everyone!
I need your support for the following urgent matter. I have a 15years old CBus installation to my home and one of the dimmers died yesterday (L5508d1AP) and I am without lights.. i have a spare L5504d2A to replace some of the channels BUT I cannot connect to installation with the toolkit.
The installation has a MKII b&w screen with logic engine and the cbus firmware is 5.1.00 and Ctouch firmware version 3.6.00.
I tried to connect to the installation via a 5500PC on a laptop with windows 11, but none of the toolkits version I installed was able to connect.
I was getting the message that the port is in use!
Which version of Toolkit should I use to connect to make changes, and which version of PICED?

I agree with Ashley... 1.16.4 would be best. if you definitely have the correct com port selected in Toolkit (as Ashley has advised above), try the following...

Connection via 5500PC can be a bit problematic, especially if you are using a USB to RS232 adapter lead. Assuming Toolkit works with your adapter lead OK, try rebooting your PC and also power cycling (disconnect the 5500PC from C-Bus) and try again. For some reason, they lock up and I've had situations where one or the other of these two had to be applied.
If you are still having problems, try programming through the B&W MKII touchscreen using it as a PC interface. The driver for that USB is installed with either Toolkit or PICED (can't remember which). It doesn't seem to suffer from that same issue of failing to reset.
