Why Can't tool kit readdress a Minder ?

    the error is

"Unit readdress failed check network and unit"

readdressing works fine with the old 16 bit app.

    re-addressing minder

Could it be that Home minder is no longer recognised or supported by CIS???

Defect #4147.. hasnt been looked at.. The PCI inside the Minder is very old, and quite different from other PCI's.. I'm unsure if we're going to get around to resolving this anytime soon.. but I'll bump up its priority a little. Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime.

Not a big issue because there is a work around. Work on more important stuff.

    Crap...
This means I have to keep the older C-Bus software on my systems, just in case I need to re-address my Minder. I was so looking forward to the complete shift to Toolkit compatible software.
But I suppose I need to keep V2 software, becuase of my HomeGate software upgrade path.
To install my HomeGate V3.1 upgrade, I need to have V2.x HomeGate installed. But my V2 CD is also an upgrade, so I need to install my original HomeGate V1.3.0.
BUT, HomeGate V1.3.0 won't install unless V2 C-Bus Programming Software is installed.
    Messy Huh??

Maybe CIS would allow you to swap all those 3 x Homegate CD's for one full version of v3 ?
