Hey gents. I had to share this one with you. Currently in the process to build a new place and in the planning, I have decided to build an arcade room for some of my creations.
As you can imagine, no way could I have a normal light switch for the room. So I created a little board that has an optocoupler to interface with a C-Bus coupler led output, to be an Arduino input, and let it to do the rest.

Only showing the start of what I am up to here, but thought a few of you might get a laugh.
(Scuse the 8 bit sound track... couldn't find anything else)

First thing my wife asked..... "Does that void the warranty?" :D

Pretty cool mate.. hopefully it has easily adjustable volume or someway of disabling the noise later at night etc. maybe thats the next step for the cbus, simple relay disconnecting the speaker at set times..

And to satisfy your wife's comment, I dont believe this would void warranty in any way shape or form.. Its what the bus coupler was designed for.. :)

Cheers Roosta. It's going in the shed so hopefully wont be too annoying after the novelty wears off but like your idea of a simple relay to let it run at certain hours. Pretty sure I have a couple of spare outputs.

I think its a perfect fit for the room you described. The audio just makes it even more perfect.

Like your style - Great for an arcade room - I'll bring the beers and if you have the Addams family pinny then you'd better have a guest room.... :D

    Cheers Myke. :)

Hey Ambro, does a virtual pinball count :D

Sure it's a work in progress and may not be 100% the real table.... but it has a hundred more tables on there too!

    Wow!

    Well done!
That's an awesome switch mod, if you were so motivated to make a few more i am fairly certain you would sell them.
No issue's with warranty as you have not opened the C-bus input module.
