We have inherited a wireless site that has had a few re-occurring issues. It all runs well for a few months before some units stop responding - they appear to re-set to default state (no longer networked or grouped).

The site is not that big physically, so distance shouldn't be an issue and most wireless units have line of sight between them, so again this shouldn't be an issue. The only other thing I can think that may be affecting comms could be we are on the tenth floor in the CBD...
Is there any easy way to detect RF interference?

In the troubleshooting section of the 'Wireless Users Guide', one option to overcome marginal comms is to 'turn off the encryption by using special software.'
Opening the GUI in Toolkit and on the Global tab, I can see the 'Encrypt Communication' checkbox, but it is greyed out. How can we access this parameter to see if it helps on this site?

    Any other suggestions or advice?
