At home my router is setup using Internal and external port forwarding to allow for 3g access of my wiser..I have forward External port 8000 to Internal port 80 and I am able to connect remotely to my Wiser using either the web browser or using the iphone app..

I am unable to connect using port 8080, which is no issue because the other method is working for me - The problem is that I have another Wiser I have programmed, sitting on a network with a router that does not support external to internal port forwarding and I am unable to remap port 80 as it is being used already.

Is there any way of changing the port 80 in Wiser to look at a different port?

I forgot to mention that the Wiser is setup in LAN mode and therefore the router side of it is not being used.

No. I don't think there is a way to change the lan-side web server port of Wiser . It is fixed at 80. There is a way to change the wan-side port (default 8080) under the Management->Remote Management port setting. I haven't tried this myself, but perhaps one could connect the WAN port of the Wiser to the LAN side of the non-port-forwarding router and assign it a static address, then chose a suitable wan-side port for the Wiser (eg: 8080) and configure the router to port-map that port to the Wiser's new WAN static address. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks mate, I understand what you mean. I've just connected the LAN from the main router to the WAN port of the Wiser, only problem is I can't access the Wiser now, seems to only work when I connect it to the LAN connections on the Wiser..

Ok so I have just searched around a bit and although this might seem obvious to some of you, I saw that some had the Wiser connected on BOTH the LAN and Internet ports on the unit, so that there are 2 physical connections from the network.

I have done this and am now able to use port 8080 to remotely access the wiser! Problem solved I think!

    2 cable connection issues?

I have tried connecting the wiser to the LAN using 2 cables. When I do have it set up that way it seems to create other problems on my LAN and affects my Paradox alarm connections to the C-bus?
The network in the house is quite busy so need the wiser to be stable.
I have removed the cable that was on the WAN port on the wiser and all the other network / alarm connection issues cleared up.

Now I can not connect remotely as the port forwarding will not accommodate port 80. and would need to use another port to accomplish this? only possible using the WAN...

I need the LAN to connect the cameras as well
