    Hi Conor,

Ok, the fact that it works on all the other platforms is great as it limits the area to debug to just the iPhone. Here are the things that I would check and some assumptions I'm making:
    - you're using local WiFi since you're connecting on 192.168.2.1
    - that you have working WiFi on the iPhone
    - that you have the right password
    - that you do not have a widget in your project using a non-lighting application for lighting (this causes the iPhone Wiser UI to hang saying "Connecting 2/x")
    - that you have either Wiser firmware 1.12.0 or firmware 1.15.0. Other versions of the Wiser firmware had an OUI limitation that may affect some iPhones and newer devices that have a MAC address that is not 0n:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx where n is like 0c and above. You can check this on the iPhone using "Settings", then "General" and then "About", and the MAC is shown as Wi-Fi address.

    Some other thoughts:
    - what is the exact error message on the iPhone Wiser UI screen?

    Hope that helps.

Just curious are you using the wiser iphone app or the safari browser?

Wiser uses flash which the iphone doesnt support. Just grab the app, its free from the itunes app store.

    Hi Conor,

To get the Wiser firmware version, go to http://192.168.2.1/clipsal/main.htm . You should then see something like:

    Firmware Version Kona_1.15.0
    Project Size 364210 / 524272 : 69 percent full
    <snip>

Could you post what the WiFi address reported by your iPhone is? I wrote how to get that in the post above.

    just got it

    thanks ,
just trying something different ,just realised its not asking for wireless password but router password a bit confusing ,next step is trying to set up remote log in ,by the way if you only want temperature feedback with wiser what would you advise .

    cheers conor

    Hi Conor,

Ah, I see now. :) Yes, it wants the router password (probably could use some clarification on the setup page) since you already configured WiFi using Apple's native WiFi configuration.

For temperature, there is an issue as the current version of the iPhone app does not yet have HVAC application support. It is work in progress.

Conor Please upgrade your Wiser Firmware to 1.15.0 as this firmware also addresses an issue that affects some Iphones with a high MAC address.

to Upgrade the firmware you will require PICED 4.8.1 which is a breaking release. meaning you will also need to update all you Clipsal software at the same time (most importantly toolkit)

Wiser connect on WAN to iPhone. Need Help!

    Hi

I have setup wiser on my LAN working fine on iPhone. I have connected the Wiser on Option B.
I have forwarded port on my Netgear DGN1000 router.Ports 8080. I have set the log on this port. So when I try to connect over 3G it shows it is trying to connect and forward port to rule 8080.
What have I to do to get this to work?
Wiser is on Kona_1.24.0 iPhone is version 1.2.0. I see that someone is connecting router LAN to wiser WAN and then router LAN and wiser LAN. Then putting LAN details into the WAN of the Wiser. Confussed.com! The notes are not great, the forums confussing me more. Can someone make sense of this?
The iPhone setting WAN is my Static IP Number, some people say that you have to put the http://? I tried both, with my port number 8080. LAN is my local IP number and port 80. I have transfered my PICED project with both IPs 192.168.0.150 CNI and Wiser 192.168.0.151. I have disabled DCHP on the Wiser. On the PICED program it shows LAN TAB. Allow Access on Wiser LAN Ports. I have enabled this, put in gateway 192.168.0.1. No change if I enable or disable this. There are lots of TABs on the Wiser, do you have to change any of these?

I have connected E Homes And TouchSoft to control my Cbus. But I decided on trying Wiser. Starting to wonder why?

    Thanks in advance!:confused :/

The only thing that appears to be missing is forwarding the other ports that Wiser needs.

You need to setup your DGN1000 to forward ports 8888 and 8889 to the Wiser.

    Hi NickD

I have forwarded Ports 8080, 8888, 8889, 8336, 8337 & 8080. I can see the log on the router. Is there a problem or setting on the Wiser that I need to change.
    The iPhone setting on App.
    WAN is 93.xx.238.xx:8080.
    LAN 192.168.0.151:80.
The LAN number is to connect to the Wiser, correct!
    Getting Errors Unreachable.
1.Please ensure you have the correct version of iPhone App.
    2. Please reconfigure the login information.
The settings on the iPhone. Password must be ok as I am able to connect on LAN. Connection timeout default set to Defaul! (I have tried 30sec etc) Warm Firmware update is swtich on. The Version 1.2.0.

    Thanks for your speedy Response.

The only other thing I can think of is to check that the "Allow Projector Control" option is showing green on the Tools page in the Wiser UI.

To check/set this you'll need to access the wiser using a web browser from your LAN.

    Hi NickD

I type in my LAN IP. Got into my web browser. I have click on the Projector Control Enabled with the tookkit. After a few minutes the tookkit and projector LED goes grey! What does this mean?

    Thanks George.

    Hi NickD

Got sorted! When using the LAN enable on the PICED. I put in by chance DNS of my static IP. BINGO. Working!

    Thanks again!
