Is it possible to invoke a manual run of an irrigation zone at the c-touch through my wiser interface?

I would like to be able to run in manual if I was away from the house and new that we had weeks of dry for instance, plus I am lazy ;)

    Hello,

Yes it is possible.. I had a customer ask me for exactly the same thing last night..

Its a matter of finding out the Group Address you require and then actioning it via a widget.. Apologies for the vagueness but it depends on your current setup..

    Cheers..

An amazing new home irrigation system

    Hi everyone,

Our company, 22seeds, is launching an amazing new home irrigation system called Greenbox.
It's smartphone-controlled with an intuitive interface, helps conserve water by using local weather data, and costs less than half the existing products on the market.

You can find it on Kickstarter starting at $99 for early backers: http://kck.st/XbEE0w
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.

    Thanks!

    The Greenbox Team

Looks nice. Schneider/Clipsal offers the open sourced C-Bus Module to encourage devices like yours to have/add a C-Bus interface as well.

    Hi,

Your description above leads me to believe that the product is smart enough to make watering decisions based on the weather forecast yet there's no wifi connection so I can't see how it can use the local weather data? can you please explain.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears to be nothing more than a fancy tap timer that can be programmed by an iphone thats within bluetooth range. Although I do hope I'm wrong.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I'm Dori, one of the co-founders of Greenbox.

The basic model (Greenbox Seed) uses a Bluetooth Smart connection, which is very different from classic Bluetooth - it's fast, seamless, and paired from right within the app.

Connectivity between Greenbox and your smartphone/tablet is limited to 50 meters. However, you will be notified about relevant local weather events immediately, no matter where you are. You will then be able to update the watering program upon return to your home at the tap of a button. This is actually good enough for most people who are home at least once a day.

The more advanced model (Greenbox Remote Access) comes with support for Wi-Fi too, in addition to Bluetooth Smart. This version allows you to control and monitor Greenbox from anywhere in the world. We're also going to provide web access so non-iOS devices are also supported. Greenbox Remote Access also provides automated control, so the user doesn't have to confirm recommended changes.

Note that Bluetooth Smart still makes the whole setup process easier, and gives users independence regardless of the network or server status.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Dori
